Central Hall is Southampton’s premier community-focused events venue.

Based in the heart of the city, Central Hall's location offers easy access for the local community and a wide southern catchment area; while our first-rate facilities ensure the perfect setting for a whole host of events. We provide high quality spaces and services for a range of organisations, with the aim to meet the needs of our clients, so they in turn can meet the needs of their guests and host successful, effective events.

With our 800-person capacity Main Hall, our 180-person capacity Small Hall, on-site cafe, commercial kitchen and multiple meeting rooms - Central Hall offers contemporary space for events of all sizes. Our dedicated event management team ensures all our clients’ needs are covered – from audio/visual supplies, to providing stewarding staff and catering services.

Our Vision

We have a unique vision here at Central Hall, with the aim to have a community-focused approach in everything we do.

Central Hall was initially designed to host community events way back in the 1920s, with meeting the social needs of local people always at the forefront of the Hall’s operations. We want to continue in that tradition and use our facilities to enhance community life.

We like to host events with organisations who share our vision for people, social welfare and improving life for everyone in our community.

Our History

Being built way back in 1925, Southampton’s Central Hall has a rich history, which is still celebrated today. Working as a source of entertainment, aid and social care, it has always been the heart and soul of the local community.
